My sole intention in composing songs for children was to write good music, not treating them like simpletons. That is why I tried to make the language easy but not 'babyish', and to write pieces that could be used to develop in the performers an interest not just in the notes as written but also in musical colour and interpretation. Some of these songs have in fact already been performed in concert by soloists, somewhat in the manner of the children's songs by Montsalvatge or Schumann, among others.
The first five songs are intended for choirs of small children, while La Sirena and De la Lluerna al Fénix were written for children aged 12 or above.
In the songs De la Lluerna al Fénix and El conill you will find an ad libitum bassoon or cello line which, if a player is available, is meant to replace the same line in the piano part (unless you really like unison lines). If no bassoon is available, you could try some other low instrument, preferably a wind one.

La clasificación del nivel de una partitura normalmente viene determinado por el grado de dificultad técnica del instrumento o voz. En los casos de obras para formaciones instrumentales diversas, orquestales, vocales, etc. el nivel se determina atendiendo a la complejidad general de la obra, no a la de sus instrumentos en particular. Es muy importante conocer este criterio porque las obras de conjunto aparecen también en los listados específicos de cada uno de sus instrumentos o voces que participan en él, pero el nivel que se indica es el de la formación instrumental-vocal.
