"description" => "Sardanes i obres per a cobla The publication of sardanes (Catalan folk dance) for cobla (Catalan orchestra) has always been the fruit of some sort of private initiative which, intermittently and with greater or lesser success, has tried to establish itself and survive in the difficult world of music for cobla.\n The reasons are quite simple: on the one hand, the fact that sardana dancing, programmes and concerts take place - in most cases - within the restricted area that is the exclusive territory of Catalonia and little more than that. Thus there is no possible large scale, global projection for our music. \n On the other hand, nowadays, the extraordinary proliferation of photocopiers and rapid cyclostyles has facilitated the duplication of originals to point that instantaneous reproduction of all kinds of sheet music is within in the reach of most anyone and practically uncontrollable. \n The result is that, with a few distinguished exceptions, many of our greatest, even the most emblematic and classic sardanes have never been published in version for cobla. \n In most cases, the different orchestras of our country create or have built up their repertoire by receiving the works directly from the hands of composers themselves, in the form of photocopies of a single original, or else obtaining them from the archives of other cobles who already have them in their repertoire. \n It is also possible to get hold of works through the heirs of late composers or from some private collection, almost always inherited from some defunct cobla.\n That is why, given the importance of the decision, the initial idea of DINSIC - attempting to create a serious, responsible and accredited archive for the publishing of sardanes for classic and modern cobles - seems to me worthy of public praise and gratitude. \n I wish DINSIC many years of success in this commendable and difficult undertaking of attempting to compile - in order to save and deliver it from disappearance in the short or long term - a truly important part of our unpublished cultural heritage. Located in the very heart of the old town of Barcelona, DINSIC Publicacions Musicals, SL was found in 1988 by Francesca Galofré Mora as a response to her great pedagogical vocation and with the aim of disseminating knowledge and musical production.<br />

Today, with more than twenty years of constant work, the publishing company devotes itself to promoting the publication of several books and materials destined to musical education in all its fields: music schools and conservatories, school in all its levels and university.<br />
<br />
Its collection includes scores ranging from solo parts, literature for chamber ensembles and orchestras to the great symphonic repertoire, as well as works for choir in all its formations. Some of these collections include publications of critical studies in several languages.</div>

Nascut a Barcelona el 22 de gener de 1933. Primers estudis musicals amb el guiatge de Joan Massià (piano amb Maria Carbonell), Joan Llongueres i Eduard Toldrà, que signa la seva presentació al públic del Palau de la Música Catalana, als 13 anys, com a compositor i pianista. Treballa més tard amb Joaquim Zamacois, Emili Pujol i Lluís Maria Millet. Deixeble, a partir del 1949 de Nadia Boulanger, a París, i més endavant, d'Igor Markevitch.<br />
La seva densa trajectòria musical s'ha concretat en multiplicitat de facetes: composició (primer premi del Conservatori Americà de Fontainebleau) acompanyament (primera medalla del Conservatori Nacional de París) direcció d'orquestra, animació, divulgació i gestió musical, i molt especialment l'ensenyament, sense oblidar la seva acció al servei de la cultura catalana, per mitjà de l'Agrupació Dramàtica de Barcelona, com a Secretari d'Òmnium Cultural a París, productor de les emissions París, fogar de cultura catalana de la Radiodifusió Francesa i, darrerament, president del Casal de Catalunya a París.<br />
Narcís Bonet ha estat guardonat amb diversos premis de composició (Fundació Copley de Chicago, Fundació March, Prince Rainier III de Mònaco) i ha rebut nombrosos encàrrecs (Festival d'Amèrica-Espanya, RTVE, Dotació d'Art Castellblanch, Ensemble Moderne de París, festivals de Sevilla i de Granada, Festival Chopin de París').<br />
Entre els càrrecs que ha exercit, cal esmentar-ne el de president de les Joventuts Musicals de Barcelona, membre del Bureau i president de la Federació Internacional de les Joventuts Musicals, representant del Consell Internacional de la Música de la UNESCO, productor dels programes musicals de les emissions en llengua espanyola de la Ràdio Francesa, secretari tècnic de l'Orquestra i Cors de la RTVE, Conseller musical de la Dotació d'Art Castellblanch, membre del jurat de diversos concursos internacionals de piano i composició.<br />
A partir de 1971 desplega una gran activitat pedagògica al Conservatori Municipal de París, a l'Escola Nacional de Música de Créteil i, finalment, a l'Escola Normal de Música de París, on exercirà el càrrec de director adjunt, i al Conservatori Americà de Fontainebleau, on succeeix en la direcció Nadia Boulanger.<br />
Autor d'un Tractat de Solfeig, ha col·laborat amb Igor Markevitch en l'edició enciclopèdica de les nou Simfonies de Beethoven (Editions Van de Velde).<br />
Actualment és membre del Consell Musical de la Fundació Prince Pierre de Mònaco, Commandeur dans l'Ordre du Mérite Culturel i Commandeur de l'Ordre de Saint-Charles del Principat de Mònaco, membre del Consell de la Fundació Internacional Nadia i Lili Boulanger, director de l'Associació de l'Escola Normal de Música de París, on a més exerceix la seva activitat pedagògica, i també a l'Schola Cantorum de París. Membre de la Reial Acadèmia Catalana de Belles Arts de Sant Jordi, el Govern Català li ha concedit recentment la Creu de Sant Jordi.</div>
