The songs you will find in this songbook can be performed in music classes in schools or in concerts ' they were in fact intended to be sung in concerts, and I have indeed put on such concerts performances with some of the choirs at the I.P.S.I. school (Barcelona).
You will find five songs for a single voice and piano, three songs for two voices, one song with flute accompaniment, and a canon. The songs with two voices can also be sung without the second voice, the result being a song in unison. These melodies were intended to be performed by high-voice choirs. Choir conductors can follow their own criteria in selecting the ones that are best suited to each age-group.
For the songs to sound good, it is very important to follow all the dynamics and tempo markings.
It is also important to have a good pianist in the pieces with piano, to underpin the work as a whole.
I would like to thank Joana Raspall, Txus Fernàndez and Albert Vernet who let me use their poems and entrusted their worlds to me; without them I would not have been able to produce any of the contents of this songbook.

La clasificación del nivel de una partitura normalmente viene determinado por el grado de dificultad técnica del instrumento o voz. En los casos de obras para formaciones instrumentales diversas, orquestales, vocales, etc. el nivel se determina atendiendo a la complejidad general de la obra, no a la de sus instrumentos en particular. Es muy importante conocer este criterio porque las obras de conjunto aparecen también en los listados específicos de cada uno de sus instrumentos o voces que participan en él, pero el nivel que se indica es el de la formación instrumental-vocal.
