This second volume has two objectives: to consolidate what was learned in Level 1, and to continue to extend the students' abilities in mastering the transverse flute and, through it, learning about the language and form of music, though with real musical activity always having priority.
Although this course book is intended for group classes, if also works perfectly well with individual classes, since all the exercises and games can be adapted for a single student, or for the teacher and student together.
The topics for study match the content of second-level studies in our Elementary Level.

- Index of pieces: the pieces are classified by composers and in alphabetical order, their page numbers being given.
- Units: this book is divided up into 11 Units. Units 1 to 10 each correspond to a major or minor scale featuring up to two accidentals in the key signature. As regards building up the students' flute skills, the range is extended to cover the full range of the flute.
- Games: all the games appearing in the modules are explained in this section. The explanations are given in the order in which the games appear in the units.
- Listening guide: works which are recommended as listening material to complete the learning content of each unit. Recommendations are not given regarding particular recordings, references to recordings only being given when the work concerned has not been frequently recorded and could prove difficult to find.
- The fingering table gives the fingerings for all the notes appearing in the book.
