Metal·lúrgia was born after nearly 25 years of its inception. For my students’ school concerts all those years, the lack of chamber music works for brass instruments had me write arrangements for trumpets and/or other brass instruments of works from all times and periods.
Nowadays, with all the new technology, it is becoming more and more difficult to have children devote the necessary time to their instrument. So an effective way to have them play and have fun is playing in a group, to train their ear and musicality and, in more into the personal, their self esteem, overcoming, camaraderie and friendship.
This book is a collection of duos, trios, quartets and sextets for trumpets and/or instruments in the same key. The repertoire is based on author, original, folk and traditional pieces.
