After editing “GaTonades” [“CaTunes”], I did not feel completely satisfied, as I knew it was a collection which would not be able to be sung by my nephew Marcel, as the level and themes of the songs it contained were suitable for children older tan him. Now, however, this new songbook is released, entitled by his name, and you’ll already sense what it consists of: it’s about single songs, for one voice with piano accompaniment, for children from age four to eight. Some of the songs are especially inspired in Marcel: “Què somnien els camells quan són petits?” [“What Do Camels Dream Of When They Are Young?”], “Cançó sobre no tenir por” [“Song About Not Being Scared”], and especially one of the most successful songs of the present collection, “La guardiola de la tieta Assumpta” [“Aunt Assumpta’s Piggybank”], which is inspired, as films use to say, in a real story, occurred during a Christmas celebration, when Marcel, the cousins, my sister (aunt Assumpta) and me were building up a farm that we had received from the tió.
The present collection is not meant to be sung from top to toe; one should choose to sing the songs he likes best, although it ends with a little cantata on culinary topics (with four recipes sharing one same refrain, one for each season), which can be sung off the reel.

La clasificación del nivel de una partitura normalmente viene determinado por el grado de dificultad técnica del instrumento o voz. En los casos de obras para formaciones instrumentales diversas, orquestales, vocales, etc. el nivel se determina atendiendo a la complejidad general de la obra, no a la de sus instrumentos en particular. Es muy importante conocer este criterio porque las obras de conjunto aparecen también en los listados específicos de cada uno de sus instrumentos o voces que participan en él, pero el nivel que se indica es el de la formación instrumental-vocal.
