<br/>	She was born in Girona in 1961. In 1982 she qualified as a teacher of the piano, and later undertook studies in composition and orchestration at the Barcelona Music School with Josep Soler and Carles Guinovart. In 1988 she was awarded a scholarship by the Ministry of Education and Science to further her studies abroad, and she spent the academic year 1988-89 studying with Betsy Jolas in Paris. She also became a member of the Catalan Composers&#39; Association that year. She took part on three occasions (1991, 1992, and 1995) in the courses arranged by the Centre Acanthes, in Villeneuve l&egrave;s Avignon (France), and also on three occasions in the International Bartok Seminar in Szombately (Hungary).<br />
<br/>	In the 1990s she specialised in twentieth-century music themes and languages, she having given many seminars and courses in that field.<br />
<br/>	She has a deep knowledge of the cobla (traditional Catalan bands), and started composing for coblas in 1980, later contributing to them as a performer on the tenora (Catalan shawm) and as conductor. She has conducted various cobla bands, chief among them the Cobla Sant Jordi, from 1991 to 1993, and the Cobla Juvenil de Bellpuig, which she has been conducting since 1994. Her compositions show her interest in experimentation in the field of the cobla and cobla instruments. Examples of this are her works &#39;Scherzo per a piano i tenora&#39;, &#39;Tres peces amb auguris estel&bull;lars&#39; (Three pieces with stellar omens) for carillon and tenora, and &#39;Eventualment na&iuml;f&#39; (Maybe naive) for cobla band. She has also been studying and researching cobla music since 1997, she having worked in conjunction with the publishers Edicions 62 on the work &#39;Hist&ograve;ria de la m&uacute;sica catalana, valenciana i balear&#39; (History of Catalan, Valencian and Balearic-Islands Music), and written &#39;La nissaga dels Serra&#39; (The Serra family line) for the MOS collection of the publishers Edicions SOM.<br />
<br/>	Among her most prominent compositions in other genres are &#39;Espais hipertr&ograve;fics&#39; (Hypertrophic spaces - 1991) for chamber ensemble; &#39;La can&ccedil;&oacute; de l&#39;hora de les bruixes&#39; (Song for the witching hour - 1994) on a text by Miquel Desclot, for children&#39;s choir and featuring an experimental nature; and &#39;Lluna, sal, sang i exili&#39; (Moon, salt, blood and exile - 1999), a poetry-and-music production in memory of M. Merc&egrave; Mar&ccedil;al.<br />
<br/>	She has been teaching at the Igualada Music School and the Capellades Music School since 1994, and is working on her doctorate at the University of Barcelona.<br />

	Located in the very heart of the old town of Barcelona, DINSIC Publicacions Musicals, SL was found in 1988 by Francesca Galofr&eacute; Mora as a response to her great pedagogical vocation and with the aim of disseminating knowledge and musical production.<br />

	Today, with more than twenty years of constant work, the publishing company devotes itself to promoting the publication of several books and materials destined to musical education in all its fields: music schools and conservatories, school in all its levels and university.<br />

	"curriculum" => "Born in Barcelona in 1948, he studied at the Barcelona School of Music where he completed his studies in piano, theory of music, composition and conducting, and then went on receive guidance in aesthetics from composers of international renown. He has also attended various courses concerning new approaches to teaching. He has written a music-theory course ('Tècnica bàsica de llenguatge musical'), and he is often asked to give courses and seminars in connection with teaching and/or creating music. He has been teaching at the Barcelona School of Music since 1975, winning a Chair there by competitive examination in 1980, where he currently holds a professorship forAnalytic and Creative Mathematics.<br/>    His work in composing has brought him many awards, such as the City of Barcelona Prize in 1975, the Pau Casals International Prize in 1976, the Francesc Basil Foundation Extraordinary Prize in 1981, the Ferran Sor Prize, awarded jointly by the Autonomous Government of Catalonia and the Central Government's Barcelona Delegation, in 1985, and the Authors' Society (SGAE) Prize in 1986 and 1987. He writes music for wide-ranging spheres of expression, and his works, with their independent aesthetic approach, feature on the international concert circuit. He devotes particular attention to music for Catalan traditional Cobla bands, and was the composer of the first ever concerto for tenora (Catalan tenor shawm) and orchestra, the first performance of which was given on 3 December 1999 by the Barcelona City Orchestra.<br/>    He is a panel member on juries for composition and performance competitions, He is a member of the Official Association of Doctors and Graduates in the Arts and Sciences of Catalonia. Much of his output is published, as well as recorded for radio, television or compact disc.",
