Josep M. Brotons
He studied music in the Conservatori Superior Municipal de Música de Barcelona (Municipal Superior Conservatori of Barcelona) and he graduated obtaining the highest marks. At the age of 16 he was a flute soloist in the Banda Municipal de Barcelona (Municipal Band of Barcelona) and afterwards he entered the Orquesta Municipal (Municipal Orchestra).He has been a part of different chamber music groups. He is a founder and a member of the wind quintet Aulos.
In the area of music writing, he has composed some chamber works. His work as a musical adjuster, his transcriptions and his harmonization are very appreciated by all.
He has been a teacher in the Centre d'Ensenyament Musical Diaula (Musical Teaching Center Diaula) since 1985, where he teaches flute and chamber music.
