He was born in Barcelona, and studied theory of music and piano at the Barcelona Music School, later furthering his studies with Àngel Soler, as well as studying jazz in Barcelona's Taller de Músics association and independently. In parallel with these studies, he also studied the drums, organ and clarinet.
He has pursued his professional work in various fields. As a composer and performer, he has had particularly close links with the theatre, working for the Institut del Teatre, Andrew Leparsky, Pawell Rouwa, Vol Ras and Carlo Bosso among others.
In the field of computers and music, he has produced, as designer and programmer, six educational programs, three of them commissioned by the Foundation of the 'la Caixa' savings bank. He also works regularly with that Foundation, undertaking a wide-ranging teaching activities.
He teaches harmony, musical language, piano, chamber music and computers-and-music at the Josep M. Ruera Municipal School of Music in Granollers.
