He was born in Darmós (a district in the Ribera d'Ebre region) in 1958. He began his musical education through the piano and theory of music at school. He studied at the music schools of Reus, Castelló, and Tarragona, the Liceo Music School in Barcelona, and the music schools of Badalona and Barcelona. He qualified has a teacher of music theory, saxhorn and valve trombone, as well as harmony and composition. He studied saxhorn and valve trombone with Lluís Alcocer; choral conducting with Manel Cabero; analysis, counterpoint and fugue with Benet Casablancas; advanced composition with Josep Soler, Albert Sardà and Harold Gramatges; and orchestral conducting with Albert Argudo and Bruno Membrey. He is the founder and president of the Tarragona composers' group Col·lectiu de Compositors de Tarragona. He devotes himself fully to composition, and has had various works published and performed.
